some sketches and figure studies.
This is a picture that we did in 2d that was supposed to show “anticipation”. I tried something kinda crazy and it sorta worked out kinda nice. It’s basically colored pencil on bristol board cut out and pasted on some really watered down acrylic, also on bristol board. basically because i didn’t have anything else and partially just to see what would happen. But it looks kinda fun!
another figure ground design.
when in doubt, a bird makes something look artistic and hipsterific.
More caricature stuff. The picture is really gross on this one, like the contrast and stuff. Kind of weird. Really should have tried to take a better picture but whatever.
2d project. one of those figure-ground reversals, you know, like with the two faces and the lamp? It’s kind of what that is like. It’s not symmetrical, which is kind of cool. See if you can see both the pictures!
This was a project that i made in 2d, and i thought it would be really fun to take it a step further in Photoshop. Doing it again I would probably just do the whole thing in photoshop. Bottom one is the assignment, construction paper cutout.
